IPD management for 10 to 300-bed hospitals
Inpatient care is where hospital software earns its keep: every hour of a stay turns into charges, orders, nursing records and, eventually, a bill that has to match the deposit. Curanto admits a patient against a real bed on a live bed board, with a server-issued admission number, the deposit, attendants and consent forms signed at admission.
Planned admissions can start as a pre-admission and convert on arrival. When a patient moves from ward to ICU and back, the class change re-rates the stay automatically and the audit trail keeps every move.
Orders, charges and the running bill
Doctor orders and order sets are approved and turned into charges without a second entry, and daily room, nursing and package charges post on schedule. Insurance checks run on orders for cashless patients, and an interim bill is always one click away, so the family is never surprised at discharge.

A discharge that closes clean
Discharge runs in three clear steps: clinical, financial and physical, with clearances from pharmacy, lab and accounts along the way. Special cases, such as discharge against medical advice, death and absconding, have their own paths so the records stay right.
Medi can draft the discharge summary from the chart, covering diagnoses, hospital course, treatment, investigations, discharge medicines and follow-up, then compare the draft with the chart and flag anything it left out. The clinician edits and finalises it; the AI never finalises a discharge.
OT, MLC and the statutory registers
The OT schedule, surgical notes, implants and consumables live on the same admission, so the OT register and the bill both come from the record. Medico-legal cases are opened, updated and closed with their own trail, and the birth, death, surgery, MLC and MTP registers are generated from the record rather than retyped the night before an inspection.

What happens to charges when a patient changes wards?
The transfer re-rates the stay from the moment of the move, the earlier charges stay on the same bill, and the audit trail records who moved the patient and when.
Can the AI write our discharge summaries?
Medi drafts them from the chart and checks the draft for diagnoses and medicines it left out. It stays an editable draft until the clinician reviews and finalises it.
Does it handle DAMA, death and absconding discharges?
Yes. Each has its own discharge path, so the record, the bill and the registers stay right.
Can nurses use it on a phone?
