Curanto AI

AI hospital management software that works in every department.

Curanto's AI writes the consultation note, reviews prescriptions, answers questions and takes actions across the hospital, and reads the week's numbers every morning. It runs on the same patient record, permissions and audit trail as everything else, and the people who sign still decide.

Six features, one record

What Curanto AI does today.

Each feature below is live in the product, on web and desktop and, where it applies, in the staff app. None of them is a separate app with its own login or its own copy of your data.

AI scribe

Listens to the consultation in 10 Indian languages and writes the note, ICD-10 codes, prescription, lab orders and follow-up when you press Stop.

Where: The consultation screen on web, desktop and the staff app.

How the AI scribe works
  • Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and English, mixed freely in one consultation.
  • Suggests what to ask and what to examine while you talk, in the language you are speaking.
  • The first field fills about a second after Stop and the note is complete in under five.
  • Every AI-written field carries an AI draft mark, and your edits always win.
  • Audio is never stored.

AI prescription review

One click checks a prescription against the patient's allergies, conditions, age and weight, then explains each problem and what to tell the patient.

Where: The prescription screen, and Medi when you ask it to review an Rx.

See it in the EMR
  • Rule-based checks run first: drug interactions, allergy classes, disease contraindications, pregnancy categories, boxed warnings, Schedule H1 and X, duplicate therapy and maximum daily dose.
  • The AI keeps every one of those findings, explains each in one line and suggests a concrete fix. It cannot drop a finding or lower its severity.
  • It adds what fixed rules cannot see, such as a paediatric mg per kg dose, an elderly dose or a duration that does not fit the diagnosis.
  • Three to six counselling points to tell the patient: food, timing, what to avoid, when to come back.
  • Advisory only. It never blocks or edits the prescription, and an incomplete answer shows as an error, never as an all-clear.

Medi, the AI assistant

Ask a question or give a task in plain words, on web or mobile. Medi works across the front desk, wards, pharmacy, lab, billing, HR and finance with 536 tools and your own permissions.

Where: A panel beside every screen on web and desktop, and in the staff app.

Meet Medi
  • Answers from live records, such as today's collections, the next free ICU bed or a patient's last three visits, and cites the record it used.
  • Takes actions you ask for, like booking, billing or drafting a document, with the same role and row-level security as the person asking.
  • Deleting, removing or archiving pauses for an approve or reject in the chat.
  • Every action lands in the hash-chained audit trail, marked as done through Medi.
  • Mention a patient, doctor, admission, bill, visit, appointment or lab order to point it at the right record.

AI business brief

Every morning, a plain-words read of the week: what is working, what to watch and what to do, judged against your own last twelve weeks.

Where: The business monitor in Analytics, for owners and administrators.

See the reports
  • Collections, OPD and IPD billing, patients and admissions, each compared with bands learned from your own last twelve weeks.
  • So a small clinic and a 200-bed hospital each get bands that fit them, and a real dip stands out.
  • A headline, then up to three lines each for working well, watch and do this week.
  • Refresh it any time; the numbers underneath are always the live reports.

Discharge summaries, drafted and checked

Medi drafts the discharge summary from the chart, then checks the draft for diagnoses and medicines it left out.

Where: Ask Medi about an admission; the draft is saved to that admission for the clinician to edit.

See IPD and discharge
  • Diagnoses, hospital course, treatment, investigations, discharge medicines and follow-up, built from the chart rather than typed from memory.
  • An omission check compares the draft with the chart and flags any diagnosis or medicine the summary does not mention.
  • It stays an editable draft. The clinician reviews and finalises it; the AI never finalises a discharge.

GST and drug-schedule answers

Ask how a bill line is taxed or which register a drug needs. Medi answers from fixed GST and Drugs and Cosmetics rules, so the rate is never guessed.

Where: Medi, from billing, pharmacy or anywhere else in the product.

See billing and GST
  • Hospital GST lines: healthcare services exempt, room rent above 5,000 a day at 5% without input tax credit, ICU excluded, inpatient medicines exempt, OPD pharmacy at the item's HSN rate.
  • Contested items such as implants are flagged for a person to decide, never applied automatically.
  • Schedule H, H1, X and narcotics: whether a prescription is needed, which register to keep, how long to retain it and when wastage needs two witnesses.
  • It can read your hospital's own tax mappings, so the answer matches how your bills are set up.

Guardrails

What the AI never does on its own.

AI in a hospital has to be boring in the right places. These rules are enforced in the product, not promised in a policy.

01

Your permissions, no side doors

Medi acts with the role of the person asking and the organisation's row-level security. It cannot do anything that person could not do on screen.

02

Drafts are marked, people sign

Scribe fields carry an AI draft mark, discharge summaries stay drafts until a clinician finalises them, and the prescription review never edits a prescription.

03

Rules before models

Drug interactions, tax rates, drug schedules and invoice numbers come from fixed rules and server sequences. The AI explains them; it never invents them.

04

Destructive actions wait for you

Deleting, removing or archiving through Medi pauses for an approve or reject in the chat.

05

Everything is audited

Every action taken through Medi is written to the hash-chained audit trail, marked with the Medi session that did it.

06

A cap and an off switch

Plans carry a monthly AI usage cap the administrator can see, with no per-consultation charge, and an administrator can switch AI off for the whole organisation.

Your data

Where patient data goes when the AI runs.

Your database is hosted in India. When someone uses an AI feature, the text that feature needs is sent to AI model providers through OpenRouter, a routing service for AI models, and that processing may happen outside India.

  • Nothing leaves for a model unless someone in your organisation uses an AI feature. The one scheduled exception is the morning business brief, which sends totals only.
  • The scribe never stores audio and strips names, phone numbers, Aadhaar numbers, dates of birth and email addresses from the transcript before a language model reads it.
  • The prescription review sends no name, UHID or contact details.
  • An administrator can switch every AI feature off for the organisation at any time.

What each AI feature sends to a model
FeatureWhat it sends to a model
AI scribeThe consultation audio, for transcription. The transcript then goes to a language model with the patient's name and mobile, other phone numbers, Aadhaar numbers, dates of birth and email addresses removed.
AI prescription reviewThe medicines as written, the patient's age, sex, weight, allergies and conditions, and the working diagnosis. No name, UHID or contact details.
Medi, the AI assistantYour question and the records Medi reads to answer it, which can include patient details.
AI business briefTotals and averages only, such as collections and visit counts. No patient-level data.
Discharge summaries, drafted and checkedThe admission's chart data, including patient details, as part of the Medi conversation that asked for the draft.
GST and drug-schedule answersThe bill line's category and rate, or the drug's schedule code. No patient data is needed for these answers.

Plans

Which plans include Curanto AI.

Every hospital plan includes every AI feature, under a monthly AI budget the administrator can see. Clinic plans add the same features for each doctor with the AI scribe and Medi seat, and hospitals buy that seat for their heaviest users. There is no charge per consultation or per question.

Questions

Curanto AI FAQs.

The questions hospital owners and doctors ask before they switch the AI on.

What can Curanto's AI do?

Six things today: an AI scribe that writes the consultation note in ten Indian languages, a one-click AI review of a prescription, Medi, an assistant that answers questions and takes actions across the hospital, a morning business brief, discharge summaries drafted from the chart and checked for omissions, and GST and drug-schedule answers taken from fixed rules.

Which plans include the AI?

Every hospital plan includes every AI feature under a monthly AI budget the administrator can see. Clinic plans add them per doctor with the AI scribe and Medi seat. There is no per-consultation or per-question charge.

Does the AI make clinical decisions?

No. The scribe drafts the note and marks every field it wrote; the doctor edits and signs. The prescription review is advisory and never blocks or edits a prescription. Discharge summaries stay drafts until a clinician finalises them. Drug interactions, tax rates, drug schedules and invoice numbers come from fixed rules and the server, not from a model.

Where does patient data go when the AI runs?

The database is hosted in India. When someone uses an AI feature, the text it needs is sent to AI model providers through OpenRouter, which may process it outside India. The scribe removes names, phone numbers, Aadhaar numbers, dates of birth and emails from the transcript first, the prescription review sends no name or contact details, and the business brief sends totals only. Audio is never stored, and an administrator can switch AI off for the organisation.

Can Medi change records on its own?

Medi does what the person asking tells it to, with that person's permissions: it can book, bill, admit or draft when asked, and those actions run straight away and are audited. Deleting, removing or archiving pauses for an approve or reject in the chat. Medi never acts unless someone asks it to.

Does the AI work offline?

No. The AI features need the internet because the models run in the cloud. Registration, the queue, notes, prescriptions and most daily work keep running offline and sync when the connection returns; the AI is ready again as soon as you are online.

Which languages does the AI scribe understand?

Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and English, detected line by line so a code-mixed consultation is heard as one. The transcript and the note are written in English.

How much AI can we use?

Each hospital plan carries a monthly AI budget that grows with its size, shown to the administrator with the current month's usage. A doctor who uses the scribe all day gets an extra AI seat of their own, and Enterprise sets its AI budget in the contract. There is no charge per consultation or per question.
